Reading a team members blog post brought me back to high school! It was a blog about a video where kids were styling a kids hair into a mullet. It reminded me of when sports teams in my high school would shave their heads or make mowhawks as a sign of school/team spirt! check out the comment i made on it!

Celebrity owned or Inspired Products
Products are everywhere! Marketing them can sometimes be difficult, but when the product is either named by a celebrity, the product is almost marketed by iteself! Not much effort needs to go into marketing a celebrity owned product. Basically a celebrity has to be called out wearing a certain thing and EVERYONE will want one. As i was browsing the internet i found a site that rates celebrity products.

So as I was browsing the internet I found a very interesting article called “What’s in a Name?” by Susan Craig. It talks about products and celebrity marketing.

“Celebrity products are nothing new. High profile celeb names are on everything from perfume to clothing to motor oil to shoes. It was only a matter of time before they’d discover food, especially the hot stuff. Salsas and hot sauces are now marketed under the names of comics and movie stars (sometimes one and the same) and sports stars. While celebrity marketing can be a gimmick for a quick buck, the folks whose pictures are on many hot food products are taking the whole business quite seriously. They know what they like, their personal taste stamps the product, and they’re out there telling everybody about it. Perhaps your favorite superstar will be next.
How does this happen? Do these people hide out in their kitchens, stirring up the old family recipes? Do food producers look around for a celebrity to match up with their product? Or is it the marketers who create these matches made in heaven?
The answers: yes, yes, and yes.”
The excerpt above is taken directly from the article. I feel that this is how products become a celebrity. The more the celebrity is used to market it, the more it becomes their own product. This was probably one of the smartest decisions ever made to do in marketing because everyone will fall in love with a product watching their favorite celebrity marketing it!

More kids for the Beckhams?
The Beckhams have been married for 9 years and have three children: Brooklyn, 8, Romero, 5, and Cruz, 3.
In an interview on the Ellen Degeneres show, David Beckham said “we’re working on it”.
Working on what? Well the Beckham’s are ready to expand their family.
Previous to this interview, Victoria, had mentioned that she wanted to get pregnant again once the spice girl tore was over.
"We're very family oriented," David said. "We always wanted a big family, which was weird because when we first got together we never even discussed how many children we wanted."
David Beckham then said, "It's worked out that we want a big family and we love kids so it's worked out perfect."
So exactly when will another Beckham be in the spotlight?
